부경대학교(총장 장영수)가 교육부의 교육국제화역량 인증대학으로 선정됐다. 부경대는 교육부 교육국제화역량 인증위원회 심의결과 학위과정과 어학연수과정 모두 인증 받는 성과를 거뒀다. 인증기간은 올해 3월부터 2023년 2월까지 2년이다. 교육국제화역량 인증제는 교육국제화역량이 높은 대학을 인증해 우수 외국인 유학생 유치를 확대하고 대학의 국제화 역량을 높이기 위한 제도다. 부경대는 이번 인증 심사에서 불법체류율, 전략 및 선발, 유학생 및 어학연수생 관리, 성과 등 모든 평가지표에서 우수한 평가를 받았다. 부경대는 이번 인증으로 외국인 유학생 비자발급 절차 간소화를 비롯해 각종 교육정책과 교육사업 등에 혜택을 받게 된다. 부경대는 국제교류본부(본부장 윤일)를 중심으로 코로나19 대응을 위한 비상대책반 및 유학생 전용 온라인 교육과정을 운영하는 등 외국인 유학생의 학습권을 보장하고, 한국어연수과정 강사 처우와 강의의 질 개선 및 한국어 연수생 심리 건강관리를 지속적으로 추진하는 등 노력을 인정받았다. 한편 부경대는 지난 2014년부터 지금까지 계속해서 교육국제화역량 인증을 획득하는 등 외국인 유학생 유치와 관리 등 역량을 인정받고 있다. <부경투데이> Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-soo) has been selected as a certified university for its international education quality assurance by the Ministry of Education. As a result of the deliberation of the International Education Quality Assurance Authentication Committee of the Ministry of Education, Pukyong National University has achieved certification in both the degree course and the language training course. The validity of the qualification is two years from this March to February 2023. The International Education Quality Assurance System is a system to certify universities with high educational internationalization capabilities to expand the attraction of excellent foreign students and to increase the university's internationalization capabilities. In this Quality Assurance System, Pukyong National University received excellent evaluation in all evaluation indicators, including the illegal stay rate of foreign students, strategy and selection of new students, management of international students and language trainees, and achievements. By receiving this qualification, Pukyong National University will benefit from various educational policies and educational projects, including simplifying the visa issuance process for foreign students. Pukyong National University will guarantee the right to study for foreign students by operating a special response team for responding Covid-19 and an online curriculum exclusively for foreign students, centered on the Division of International Relations (Director Yoon Il). In addition, its efforts were recognized for the treatment of instructors of the Korean language course, improvement of the quality of lectures, and continuing promotion of psychological health management for Korean language trainees. Meanwhile, Pukyong National University has been recognized for its capabilities in attracting and managing foreign students, such as acquiring International Education Quality Assurance Certification since 2014. <Pukyong Today> |
