이승철 유국산업(주) 대표이사(61세)가 2월 16일 제13대 부경대학교 총동창회장으로 취임했다.

이 대표이사는 이날 오전 부경대 대학본부 3층 총장실에서 장영수 총장, 정용표 제12대 총동창회장이 참석한 가운데 열린 부경대 총동창회장 이？취임식에서 신임회장으로 취임했다.

이 신임회장은 1985년 부경대 식품공학과를 졸업했으며, 2018년부터 부경대 총동창회 상임부회장으로 활동해왔다. 1998년 유국산업(주)을 설립한 이후 공드럼 제조 및 재생 분야에서 활약하며 친환경 산업 및 지역경제 활성화에 기여하고 있다.

이 신임회장은 이날 취임사에서 “부경대는 많은 학생들이 입학하고 싶은 부산 대표 국립대로 자리매김했다. 21만 부경인을 대표하는 총동창회장으로서 총동창회 발전은 물론 모교가 한층 더 성장할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 밝혔다.

그는 올해 총동창회의 중점 사업으로 제9회 홈커밍데이 행사의 성공적인 개최, 각 지역 및 지부 동창회 결성 및 활성화, 모교의 혁신 창학 지원 등을 약속했다.

한편 이날 부경대 총동창회는 총동창회 출연기금 1천만 원과 정용표 전임회장 출연기금 1천만 원 등 총 2천만 원을 부경대 발전기금으로 기탁했다. <부경투데이>

            Lee Seung-cheol, CEO of Yukook Industry, inaugurated as president of PKNU Alumni Association

            On the 16th, Farewell · inauguration ceremony were held at president's office in the administration bldg.

Lee Seung-cheol, CEO of Yukook Industry Co., Ltd. (age 61), took office as the 13th president of Pukyong National University Alumni Association on 16th February.

On the morning of the day, CEO Lee took office as the new president at the inauguration ceremony of the Pukyong National University Alumni Association, held in the presence of President Jang Young-soo and the 12th Alumni Chairman Jeong Yong-pyo in the president's office on the 3rd floor of the Administration building.

The new chairman Lee graduated from the Department of Food Science and Technology at Pukyong National University in 1985 and has been serving as a permanent vice chairman of the Pukyong National University Alumni Association since 2018. Since the establishment of Yukook Industry Co.,Ltd in 1998, he has been active in the field of manufacturing and recycling of drum cans, contributing to the activation of eco-friendly industries and local economies.

In his inauguration address on the day, the new chairman Lee said, "Pukyong National University has established itself as a national university representing Busan that many students want to enter. As the president of the Alumni Association representing 210,000 Pukyong people, I will do my best for the development of the Alumni Association and for the alma-mater to grow further."

He promised to successfully host the 9th Homecoming Day event, form and revitalize regional and branch alumni associations, and support the alma-mater's innovative foundation as a key project of this year's general alumni association.

Pukyong National University Alumni Association, meanwhile, donated a total of 20 million won, including 10 million won donated by the alumni association and 10 million won donated by former chairman Jeong Yong-pyo, as a development fund for Pukyong National University. <Pukyong Today>
