부경대학교(총장 장영수)는 3월 6일 동원장보고관 3층 동원홀에서 ‘부경대 아너스 라이프 아카데미(책임교수 최순권)’ 출범식을 개최했다.
‘부경대 아너스 라이프 아카데미’는 자기주도적 학습으로 자기 혁신과 미래설계를 도와 차세대 리더를 양성하는 우리 대학의 대표적인 비교과 프로그램이다.
동원그룹의 동원육영재단이 후원하며, 부경대를 비롯해 고려대, 서강대, 연세대 등 대학들이 우수 인재 양성을 위해 운영하고 있다.
지난해 이 프로그램에 참가한 손보람 학생(신문방송학과 16학번)은 참여수기에서 “매주 토요일 오전에 진행되는 수업에 참여하기 위해 일주일을 잘 활용해야 했기 때문에 미루지 않는 습관을 지니게 됐다. 발표 중심 수업을 통해서는 나의 의견을 전달하는 법을 배우고 두렵더라도 포기하거나 외면하지 않을 수 있게 됐다.”라고 밝히기도 했다.
그는 이 참여수기로 지난달 열린 부경대 제1회 비교과 참여 수기 공모전에서 대상을 차지했다.
올해 프로그램 참가자 33명은 이날 출범식을 시작으로 내년 2월까지 1년간 매주 토요일 8시간의 특별 강의와 토론, 혁신적이고 도전적인 과제 해결형 수업 등 인성과 사회성, 전문성을 키우기 위한 특별 교육과정을 이수하게 된다.
인문학과정과 경영학과정을 통해서는 170여 권의 인문도서와 경영도서를 읽고 발표와 토론, 케이스 스터디 등을 진행한다.
에세이와 스피치, 영멘토특강, 명사특강 등 특별과정과 자치조직을 구성해 진행하는 봉사활동도 펼친다.
방학 기간에는 산업체를 방문해 현장아카데미와 연수 프로그램을 진행할 예정이다. 각 교육과정은 전담교수 체제로 운영되고, 주제별로 기업체와 지자체, 공공기관 등의 전문 강사진이 투입된다.

On 6th March, Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) held the inauguration ceremony of 'Pukyong National University Honors Life Academy (Responsible Professor Choi Soon-kwon)' in Dongwon Hall on the 3rd floor of the Dongwon Jang Bogo Hall.
'Pukyong National University Honors Life Academy' is our university's representative non-subject program that fosters next-generation leaders by helping students’ self-innovation and plan for the future through autodidacticism.
The program is sponsored by Dongwon Group's Educational Foundation and humanity education and is running at universities including Korea University, Sogang University, Seoul National University, Yonsei University, and including Pukyong National University to foster outstanding talents.
Sohn Bo-ram (Class of '16, Mass Comunication), who participated in the program last year, said in her participatory memoir, "In order to attend classes held every Saturday morning, I had to use my week well, so I got into the habit of not putting off my tasks. This made me learn how to deliver my opinions through presentation-oriented classes and not to give up or turn away even if I am afraid."
She won the grand prize at the 1st Participatory memoirs for the non-subject program at Pukyong National University held last month with this participatory memoir.
The 33 participants of this year's program will complete a special curriculum to develop character, sociality, and professionalism, including 8 hours of special lectures and discussions, and innovative and challenging task-solving classes every Saturday for one year starting from the launching ceremony on this day and until February of next year.
Through the humanities course and the business administration course, students will read more than 170 humanities and business books and conduct presentations, discussions, and case studies.
In addition, students will conduct volunteer activities organized through self-governing organizations and special projects such as essays and speeches, special lectures from mentors, and special lectures by public figures.
During the vacation, students will visit industries to conduct field academies and training programs. Each curriculum will be operated by a dedicated professor system, and specialized instructors from businesses, local governments, and public institutions will be introduced for each subject.
