부경대생, 제3회 부산시 대학(원)생 아이디어 공모전 ‘대상’

“코로나 확산 방지용 아크릴 칸막이, 공공 조형물로 재활용하면 어때요?”
코로나 확산세가 잦아들면서 실내 코로나 확산 방지를 위해 사용해온 아크릴 칸막이를 공공 조형물로 재활용하자는 아이디어가 주목받았다.
부산인재평생교육진흥원이 개최한 제3회 부산시 대학(원)생 아이디어 공모전에서 대상을 받은 국립부경대학교 토목공학전공 마휘문(2학년), 조혜준(3학년) 학생들의 ‘코로나의 잔상’ 아이디어가 그것이다.
부경대생들의 이 아이디어는 대학생의 지역사회 참여의식 확산 및 지역현안 해결 방안 발굴을 위해 열린 이번 공모전에서 가장 시의적절하고 우수한 아이디어로 인정받아 상금 200만 원의 대상작으로 선정됐다.
부경대생들은 코로나 확산 방지를 위해 사용되는 투명 아크릴 칸막이가 여러 재질의 플라스틱을 섞어 만들어 재활용률이 낮다는 점에 착안해 이를 버리지 않고 재활용할 수 있는 아이디어로 가장 뛰어난 평가를 받았다.
이들의 아이디어는 투명 아크릴로 ‘무드등’을 만들어 길거리의 벽면 등을 장식하는 공공 조형물로 쓰자는 것이다. 특히 밤에 보안등이 필요한 어두운 길거리에 설치함으로써 낮에는 예술작품으로, 밤에는 도로를 밝히는 조명시설로도 활용하자고 제안했다.
마휘문 학생은 “이 아이디어를 활용하면 기관이나 개인의 쓰레기 처리 비용을 절감하면서도 거리를 아름답게 꾸미고, 야간 범죄도 예방하는 효과를 거둘 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.”라고 말했다.
이와 함께 부경대는 이번 대회에서 김문정·강희진·오승현 학생팀이 상금 100만 원의 장려상을 받았고, 김나현·오수민·설윤정 학생팀과 이주연 학생이 각각 상금 50만 원의 입선에 오르는 등 우수한 성과를 거뒀다. <부경투데이>

Recently, as the spread of coronavirus has slowed, the idea of recycling the acrylic partitions used to prevent the spread of corona virus indoors into public sculptures has attracted public attention.
It is 'the afterimage of coronavirus’ that won the grand prize at the 3rd university student (inc.graduate) idea contest in Busan held by the Busan institute for talent & lifelong education, the idea submitted by Ma Hwi-Mun (2-year student) and Jo Hye-Joon (3-year student) from the department of civil engineering at Pukyong National University.
This idea of Pukyong National University students was recognized as the most timely and excellent idea in this contest, which was held for the purpose of spreading the awareness of community participation among university students and to discover solutions to local issues, and was selected as the grand prize of 2 million won cash prize.
Pukyong National University students received the most outstanding evaluation as an idea that can be recycled without throwing it away, since transparent acrylic partition used to prevent the spread of coronavirus has a low recycling rate because it is made of a mixture of various plastic materials.
Their idea is to recycle transparent acrylic partitions to make 'mood lamps' and use them as public sculptures to decorate the walls of the street. Especially, the students suggested that by installing it on a dark street where security lights are needed at night, it can be used as a work of art during the day and as a lighting facility to illuminate the road at night.
Ma Hwi-Mun said, “By using this idea, I expect that it will be able to beautify the streets and prevent night crimes while reducing the cost of garbage disposal for institutions and individuals.”
In the meantime, Pukyong National University's student team of Kim Mun-Jeong, Kang Hee-Jin, and Oh Seung-Hyeon received an encouragement award with 1 million won cash prize, and the student team of Kim Na-Hyeon, Oh Soo-Min, and Seol Yoon-Jeong and Lee Joo-Hyeon were selected for the 500,000 won cash prize. <Pukyong Today>
