국립부경대, 제69회 2025학년도 원양승선실습 출항식 개최
- 27일 용호만 매립부두 … 첨단 실습선 ‘백경호’ 타고 32일간 항해

국립부경대학교(총장 배상훈)는 6월 27일 부산 용호만 매립부두에서 제69회 2025학년도 원양승선실습 출항식을 개최했다.
이날 해양생산시스템관리학부, 수해양산업교육과, 기계시스템공학전공 학생 74명과 승무원 30명 등 100여 명이 출항식에 이어 첨단 실습선 백경호(선장 김수형·3,997톤)를 타고 32일간의 원양승선실습에 나섰다.
국립부경대생들은 오는 7월 28일까지 우리나라 동해, 남해와 일본 등지에서 항해 실습하며 항해술, 어로조업, 전자통신 운용, 선박기관 운용, 자동제어시스템 운용 등 STCW 국제협약에 부합하는 항해사 및 기관사 교육과정을 현장에서 배울 예정이다. 일본 하카타항 등에 기항해 해외 대학과 기관 등을 방문해 교류 활동도 펼친다.
국립부경대는 1957년 우리나라 첫 원양승선실습을 시작해 올해 69회째까지 이어오고 있다. 이 프로그램은 동원그룹 김재철 명예회장을 배출하는 등 우리나라 해양수산 분야를 선도할 미래 첨단 해양수산 신산업 분야 인재 양성 과정으로 인정받고 있다.
배상훈 총장은 이날 출항식에서 “69회째를 맞는 우리 대학 원양승선실습은 그동안 수산？해양 분야의 수많은 인재를 배출하고 국가 경제발전과 지역사회에 크게 이바지해왔다.”라면서, “해외에서 여러 가지를 경험하며 스스로 민간 외교관이라는 사명감을 가지고, 항상 탐구하며 배우는 자세로 국위 선양에도 힘써 주기를 바란다.”라고 격려했다. <부경투데이>

Pukyong National University Holds Departure Ceremony for 69th 2025 Ocean-Going Training Voyage

Pukyong National University (President Bae Sang-hoon) held the departure ceremony for its 69th 2025 academic year ocean-going training voyage on June 27 at the Yongho Bay Pier in Busan.
A total of around 100 participants―including 74 students from the Department of Marine Production System Management, Department of Fisheries and Ocean Industry Education, and Mechanical Systems Engineering major, along with 30 crew members―boarded the advanced training vessel Baekgyeongho (Captain Kim Su-hyung, 3,997 tons) to embark on a 32-day ocean training voyage.
Until July 28, PKNU students will conduct practical training in waters including Korea’s East Sea and South Sea, as well as around Japan, learning navigation, fishing operations, electronic communications, marine engine operation, and automated control systems―components of an STCW-compliant curriculum for deck and engine officers. The itinerary also includes port calls such as Hakata in Japan, where students will visit overseas universities and institutions for exchange activities.
Pukyong National University began Korea’s first ocean-going training voyage program in 1957, and this year marks its 69th iteration. The program is widely recognized as a training ground for talent to lead Korea’s advanced marine and fisheries industries, having produced prominent alumni such as Kim Jae-chul, Honorary Chairman of the Dongwon Group.
At the departure ceremony, President Bae Sang-hoon remarked, “Now in its 69th year, our university’s ocean-going training program has produced countless professionals in the fisheries and marine sectors, making significant contributions to national economic development and local communities.” He added, “I hope that while abroad, you will embrace your role as informal ambassadors for Korea, always maintain a spirit of inquiry and learning, and help enhance our nation’s reputation.” <Pukyong Today>
