국립부경대, 2025년 8월 학위수여식 개최
- 22일 대학본부 대회의실 … 학·석·박사 1,402명 졸업

국립부경대학교(총장 배상훈)는 8월 22일 대학본부 2층 대회의실에서 ‘2025년 8월 학위수여식’을 개최했다.
이날 학사 934명, 석사 349명, 박사 119명 등 총 1,402명의 졸업생이 학위를 받았다.
학위수여식에서 학부 성적우수자 김보영(생물공학과) 등 12명에게는 총장 표창, 홍채연(평생교육·인적자원개발전공) 등 2명에게는 총동창회장 표창이 수여됐다.
배상훈 총장은 “이제 세상을 향한 발걸음은 졸업생 여러분 자신은 물론, 우리 지역사회와 국가를 넘어 인류의 진보를 향해야 한다.”라면서, “우리 대학 22만 동문의 일원으로서, 용기를 바탕으로 거침없는 도전을 통해 개인의 성취를 넘어, 국가와 세계 속에서 우리 대학의 가치를 드높여주기를 바란다.”라고 당부했다.
이어 “철학자 에리히 프롬이 언급한 보호, 책임, 존경, 지식은 성숙한 인간으로서 갖춰야 할 사랑의 가장 중요한 요소이자, 새로운 꿈을 펼쳐나갈 여러분에게 꼭 필요한 얘기.”라며, “우리 대학도 언제나 여러분과 함께하며, 여러분의 꿈과 도전을 응원한다.”라고 격려했다.
박세호 총동창회장은 축사를 통해 “이제 동문이 된 졸업생 여러분이 부경인으로서 당당하게 자신의 삶을 살아주시길 바란다. 세상을 살다 보면 난관에 부딪힐 때도 있지만, 총동창회도 여러분의 힘이 되겠다. 부경인으로서의 자부심을 가지고 행복한 삶을 살아가기를 바란다.”라고 말했다.
이어 자랑스러운 동문으로서 KNN 아나운서 김다롬 동문(시스템경영공학부 13학번)이 축사를 통해 “이 뜻깊은 자리에 서게 돼 무한한 영광이고, 졸업생 여러분께 진심으로 축하의 마음을 전한다.”라면서, “이제 여러분은 진심을 품고 세상을 나아갈 준비가 된 자기다운 사람이 되었다고 믿는다. 여러분의 생각과 말 행동은 지금 시대가 갈망하는 깊이와 품격이 될 것이며, 여러분의 앞날이 지혜롭고 의미 깊은 흔적으로 남길 기원한다.”라고 말했다. <부경투데이>

Pukyong National University Holds 2025 August Commencement Ceremony
？ 1,402 Students Graduate with Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral Degrees on August 22 at the University Headquarters
Pukyong National University (President Bae Sang-hoon) held its 2025 August Commencement Ceremony on August 22 in the main conference room on the second floor of the University Headquarters.
A total of 1,402 students received their degrees at the ceremony, including 934 bachelor's, 349 master's, and 119 doctoral degree recipients.
During the event, Presidential Awards were presented to 12 outstanding undergraduate students, including Kim Bo-young from the Department of Bioengineering, while Alumni Association Awards were conferred to 2 graduates, including Hong Chae-yeon from the Department of Lifelong Education and Human Resource Development.
President Bae Sang-hoon remarked, “As you now take your next steps toward the world, I hope your journey extends beyond personal ambition to contribute meaningfully to our local communities, our nation, and ultimately, the advancement of humanity.” He added, “As proud members of our university’s global alumni network of 220,000 graduates, I encourage you to pursue fearless challenges grounded in courage. In doing so, I hope you elevate not only your own achievements, but also the reputation and value of our university across Korea and the world.”
President Bae also shared a message of encouragement, quoting philosopher Erich Fromm: “Protection, responsibility, respect, and knowledge―these are essential elements of love that define a mature human being. These values are also vital as you embark on new dreams and aspirations.” He concluded by saying, “Our university will always stand by you, supporting your dreams and endeavors every step of the way.”
In his congratulatory address, Park Se-ho, President of the Pukyong National University Alumni Association, stated:
“As new members of our alumni community, I hope each of you will live your lives with pride as Pukyong graduates. While there may be challenges ahead, please know that the alumni association will stand with you every step of the way. Carry your pride as Pukyong people and lead happy, fulfilling lives.”
KNN announcer and proud alumna Kim Da-rom (Class of 2013, School of Systems Management and Engineering) also delivered a congratulatory message, saying:
“It is an immense honor to stand here on this meaningful day, and I sincerely congratulate all graduates.”
She added, “I believe that you are now ready to move forward into the world as individuals with sincerity and integrity. Your thoughts, words, and actions will embody the depth and dignity that this era so deeply longs for. I wish for your future to be filled with wisdom and leave behind meaningful footprints.” <Pukyong Today>
