국립부경대, 전임교원 1인당 연구비 국립대 1위

국립부경대학교(총장 배상훈)가 올해 전임교원 1인당 연구비 수혜실적이 전국 국립대 1위에 올랐다고 1일 밝혔다.
대학알리미의 2025년 8월 정보공시(2024년 기준) 결과, 국립부경대는 전임교원 1인당 연구비가 1억 7,678만 원으로 교대·체대·방통대를 제외한 전국 25개 국립대 가운데 1위였다.
전임교원 1인당 연구비는 각 대학의 교내·외 연구비와 대응자금을 전임교원 수로 나눈 값이다. 국립부경대의 2024년 기준 교내·외 연구비와 대응자금은 총 1,113억 7,321만 원, 전임교원은 630명이었다.
국립부경대의 전임교원 1인당 연구비는 사립대까지 포함하면 부·울·경 지역에서 1위, 전국에서는 7위였다. 전임교원 1인당 연구비 수혜실적이 높다는 것은 규모에 비해 더 큰 성과를 낸다는 의미다. 대학이 우수한 교수진을 보유해 연구 역량과 경쟁력이 높다는 것이다.
국립부경대의 전임교원 1인당 연구비는 3년 연속 증가세다. 교내·외 연구비는 지난해 1,003억 원에서 올해 1,094억 원으로 9.1% 증가했고, 이에 대한 대응자금도 지난해 12억 원에서 올해 19억 원으로 대폭 확대했다.
국립부경대는 지역을 대표하는 연구중심대학으로, 라이즈사업과 문샷프로젝트 등 다양한 연구지원 활동을 펼치고 있다.
배상훈 총장은 “연구비는 대학의 연구 역량을 가늠하는 주요 지표로, 우수한 연구를 위한 중요한 요건이다. 앞으로 연구자 간 교류 및 협력 체계를 확대하고, 변화하는 연구 환경에 유연하게 대응하는 등 연구 인프라 확장에 더욱 힘쓰겠다.”라고 밝혔다. <부경투데이>
Pukyong National University Ranks No. 1 Among National Universities in Research Funding per Faculty Member

Pukyong National University (President Bae Sang-Hoon) announced on the 1st that it ranked first among national universities in South Korea for research funding per full-time faculty member this year.
According to the August 2025 University Information Disclosure (based on 2024 data) by the University Information Portal (대학알리미), Pukyong National University recorded KRW 176.78 million in research funding per full-time faculty member. This figure placed Pukyong National University at the top among 25 national universities, excluding universities of education, physical education, and Korea National Open University.
Research funding per faculty member is calculated by dividing the total amount of internal and external research funding, including matching funds, by the number of full-time faculty members. Based on 2024 data, Pukyong National University’s total internal and external research funding and matching funds amounted to approximately KRW 111.37 billion, with 630 full-time faculty members.
Even when including private universities, Pukyong National University ranked No. 1 in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region and No. 7 nationwide. The high per-faculty research funding indicates that the university achieves substantial results relative to its scale. It also reflects the university’s strong research capacity and competitiveness, supported by an excellent faculty.
Notably, Pukyong National University’s research funding per faculty member has increased for three consecutive years. Its total internal and external research funding rose from KRW 100.3 billion in 2023 to KRW 109.4 billion in 2024, a 9.1% increase. Matching funds also saw a significant rise from KRW 1.2 billion to KRW 1.9 billion over the same period.
As a research-oriented university representing the region, PKNU continues to expand its research infrastructure through initiatives such as the Regional Innovation System (RISE) Project and the Moonshot Project. These programs are key pillars of PKNU’s effort to strengthen research competitiveness and innovation.
