국립부경대, 美 30개 대학 참가 유학박람회 개최

국립부경대학교(총장 배상훈)와 미국 국무부 산하 EducationUSA는 10월 14일 오후 부경컨벤션홀에서 ‘PKNU 글로벌 유학박람회’를 공동 개최했다.
미국 30개 대학이 참가한 이번 유학박람회는 미국 유학에 관심 있는 지역 학생들이 참가한 가운데 열렸다.
이날 오후 3시부터 5시까지 부경컨벤션홀에서 열린 ‘PKNU 글로벌 유학박람회’에서는 미국 각 대학 입학 담당자가 대학별 입학 정보와 교육 프로그램, 학부 장학금 정보 등을 소개했다.
이번 박람회 참가 대학은 아리조나주립대, 존스홉킨스대 캐리 경영대, 노스이스턴대, 켄트주립대, 아이오와주립대, 사바나 예술대, 뉴욕 주립대 버팔로 캠퍼스 등이다.
이날 오후 5시 30분부터는 미래관 1층 부산아메리칸코너에서 ‘미국 대학원 유학 장학금 설명회’가 열려, 노던이스턴대와 켄트주립대가 참여해 대학원 과정과 장학금 기회를 직접 안내했다.
국립부경대는 주한미국대사관과 부산아메리칸코너를 캠퍼스 내에 공동으로 운영하는 가운데, 이번 행사를 통해 지역 학생들이 미국 유학의 다양한 정보를 얻고 글로벌 역량을 키울 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다. <부경투데이>

PKNU Hosts U.S. Education Fair Featuring 30 American Universities
- Held on October 14 at PKNU Convention Hall with Participation from Local Students
Pukyong National University (President Bae Sang-Hoon) and EducationUSA, under the U.S. Department of State, co-hosted the “PKNU Global Education Fair” on the afternoon of October 14 at the PKNU Convention Hall.
This fair, attended by 30 American universities, was held for local students interested in studying in the United States.
From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., admissions officers from each university provided information about admissions requirements, academic programs, and undergraduate scholarship opportunities during the “PKNU Global Education Fair” at the PKNU Convention Hall.
Participating universities in the fair included Arizona State University, Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, Northeastern University, Kent State University, Iowa State University, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), and the University at Buffalo, State University of New York (SUNY Buffalo), among others.
At 5:30 p.m., a “U.S. Graduate School Scholarship Info Session” was held on the first floor of the Mirae Building at the Busan American Corner. Representatives from Northeastern University and Kent State University provided detailed information about graduate programs and scholarship opportunities.
Pukyong National University, which jointly operates the Busan American Corner in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Korea, expects this event to provide local students with valuable information about studying in the U.S. and help them enhance their global competencies. <Pukyong Today>
