국립부경대, ‘THE 계열별 세계대학평가’ 2개 계열 국내 10위권 대 올라
- 경영·경제(13위) 및 사회과학(15위) 분야 성과
국립부경대학교(총장 배상훈)가 ‘2026 THE 계열별 세계대학평가’에서 경영·경제(Business & Economics)와 사회과학(Social Sciences) 2개 분야에서 각각 국내 13위, 15위에 오르며 학문 경쟁력을 입증했다.
영국의 글로벌 대학평가기관인 THE(Times Higher Education)가 최근 발표한 THE 계열별 세계대학평가는 전 세계 115개국 2,100여 개 대학을 대상으로 교육여건, 연구환경, 연구영향력, 국제화, 산학협력 등 5대 지표를 종합해 평가하는 세계적 권위의 평가다.
국립부경대는 이번 평가에서 총 11개 학문 계열 중 6개 분야에 이름을 올렸다. 특히 경영·경제 분야에서는 세계 순위 501~600위, 국내 공동 13위를 기록했다. 이 분야에서 교육여건과 연구영향력, 산학협력 지표가 특히 높은 점수를 받은 것으로 나타났다.
사회과학 분야에서도 세계 순위 601~800위, 국내 공동 15위에 올랐다. 산학협력과 국제화 지표에서 높은 점수를 받으며 연구 성과 확산과 글로벌 협력 확대 노력이 반영됐다.
국립부경대는 이 밖에도 생명과학, 자연과학, 공학, 컴퓨터과학 등 분야에서도 세계 순위에 포함되며 연구 중심 대학으로서의 위상을 인정받았다.
배상훈 총장은 “학문 분야별 특성에 맞춘 연구 역량 강화와 국제화 전략으로 이번 성과를 거둔 데 이어, 앞으로도 세계 수준의 연구 경쟁력을 확보하고 교육의 질을 높여 글로벌 명문대학으로 도약해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다. <부경투데이>
Pukyong National University Ranks Within the Top Tier Nationwide in Two Subjects in the THE World University Rankings by Subject

Pukyong National University (President Bae Sang-Hoon) has demonstrated its academic competitiveness by ranking 13th nationwide in Business & Economics and 15th in Social Sciences in the 2026 THE World University Rankings by Subject.
The THE World University Rankings by Subject, recently released by Times Higher Education (THE)―a leading global university ranking organization based in the United Kingdom―evaluate more than 2,100 universities across 115 countries. The rankings are determined through a comprehensive assessment based on five key indicators: teaching environment, research environment, research quality and impact, international outlook, and industry engagement.
In this year’s evaluation, Pukyong National University was ranked in six out of the 11 academic subject areas assessed. In particular, the Business & Economics field was placed in the 501~600 global band and tied for 13th nationally, earning especially strong scores in the indicators for teaching environment, research influence, and industry collaboration.
In the Social Sciences category, the university was ranked in the 601~800 global band and tied for 15th nationwide. High scores in industry engagement and international outlook reflected the university’s ongoing efforts to expand the dissemination of research outcomes and strengthen global collaboration.
In addition, Pukyong National University was ranked globally in several other disciplines―including Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering, and Computer Science―further affirming its standing as a research-oriented university.
