PKNU, Taking Steps to Provide Information Using QR Code
△ PKNU QR Code, “Scan with your smart phone.”
Pukyong National University (PKNU) starts to provide university information service using a QR code.
The QR code, different from the existing barcode, arrays information in 2 dimensions so it contains more information and is widely used in smart phones.
Smart phone users can access the university homepage by scanning the QR code and enjoy various contents in the homepage.
PKNU currently provides the university music video, the homepage, and various images on YouTube through the QR code, and it is planning to extend the service by providing more contents. PKNU also plans to actively use the QR code in media such as newspaper, magazine, and the university promotion materials.<Translator ; Joo Woo Jung, lookorea@hotmail.com>
