Professor Kim Se Kwon will teach development of the medicinal herbs to Chinese students in China where oriental medicine was originated.
- He is appointed to professor emeritus at Jangchunjoong College of pharmacy located GiLinSheng.
- He is going to give a lecture about the development of the oriental herbs.
Professor of the department of chemistry, Kim Se Kwon, is appointed to professor emeritus at Jangchunjoong College of pharmacy (the principal of its graduate school : Jang Dae Bang) in China. It is very exceptional to be appointed Korean professor as a professor emeritus at college in China.

Jangchunjoong College founded in 1958 is located in GiLinSheng in China. There are about 10 thousands student to study there. Also, it has 2 hospitals affiliated with college, and 10 special hospitals. Therefore, it is one of the most prestigious colleges of pharmacy. As a professor emeritus, he is going to give a lecture about development of medicinal herbs by using resources of marine life in the ocean.
He can be a professor emeritus to Jangchunjoong College because he achieves recognition that he has his own wings. One of his representative achievements, for example, was to guide his Chinese student’s research work for last 3 years. After then, his student whose name is Lee Yong (38) presents about 20 papers at the conference successfully.
In this process, his unparalleled research skills about the development of phytonutrients related to marine life receive attention. Finally, the president of Jangchunjoong College and the principal of its graduate school ask him to be professor emeritus.
He has given many lectures in the International council for the marine life including 5 International Society in 2010. In addition, his achievements are selected as one of the excellent outcomes by education ministry. Also, he is selected as ‘TOP 100 scientists’ in 2007. These accomplishments show that he is recognized as a great person in his field.
He is proceeding national project called ‘Marine Bio 21 Business’ as a director of this project by using the resources of marine life. <Pukyong Today>
