Retired professor’s study about humor "I hope you will be humorous students"
Dong-Woon Ryu published "The Betrayer of Culture, Humor"
A retired professor published a book on humor as a present for his students.
Professor Dong-Woon Ryu retired on the 28th of February after 36 years of teaching profession, and published "The Betrayer of Culture, Humor".
The book was designed to encourage his students to have a more creative social life. The professor rejected the presentation of his students thesis, which is a Korean custom for retiring professors and instead published the book as a present for his students. The book contains the professor’s thoughtful advice, which is that we can live freely above any stereotype if we have humor.
Professor Ryu who majored in evolutionary economics presented the creative theory of betraying humor from culture, so that if the humor disobeys existing cultural elements such as language, tools, or system, it proves its worth.
The humor from Eastern and Western famous artists, philosophers, politicians, soldiers, entrepreneurs, and writers. There are some from Leonardo da Vinci, Pablo Picasso, Mozart, and Van Gogh. Their humor would lead to a new sight of interpreting the world using human’s various instincts such as for life, food, or sex.
Professor Ryu said humor is *in important position to release stress of human what is economical creature(I don’t understand?). He hoped that his book would be a small help to people who want to live a humorous life in this desolate society.
The professor graduated from the Business Management Department in Seoul National University, and was granted an economic doctorate by California University in the USA.
