| Pukyong National University has entered into an agreement with the Korea Iraq Friendship Association - The agreement between PKNU and the Korea Iraq Friendship Association will ensure cooperation through educational support for graduating students.  Pukyong National University (President Kim Young-Seup) and Korea Iraq Friendship Association (President Park Soon-Ja) entered into an agreement at 3:00pm in the afternoon on 9th March in the conference room on the 3rd floor of the Administration Building. The two presidents will begin the agreement by supporting Iraqi international students’ education, such as financing scholarships and boarding fees for 10 recommended Iraqi students for the upcoming semester. The president of PKNU mentioned that this agreement would be an opportunity to contribute to the international society through supporting to and training talented people as the nation of Iraq started begins nation reconstruction. Park Soon-Ja, who is president of the association Korea Iraq Friendship Association, said that this educational support will be an important big first step for the beginning of a partnership between Korea and Iraq. The Korea Iraq Friendship Association, which was founded in 2010, has worked toward enhancing a relationship between the two countries by means of Korean corporations expansion in Iraq.<Pukyong today> |
