Love spread on the Gwangan Bridge
– A campaign for rice donation was conducted on the Gwangan Bridge during the Diamond Bridge Walking Festival yielding 770kg of rice donated by approximately 1000 people.

'The Jar of Love' was filled with donations of rice by citizens of Busan on the Gwangan Bridge.
Pukyong National University’s president Kim Young-seup conducted the rice donation campaign during the Diamond Bridge Walking Festival 'on May 12th.
PKNU brought the jar from its place on campus to Gwangan Bridge, and people placed donations of rice in the jar.
The jar is found in the Gaon building on Daeyeon Campus, and it is available 24 hours for anyone who is in need of free rice. During the Diamond Bridge Walking Festival, 770 kg of rice was donated by approximately 1000 citizens.
Generous donors included Korea Bank’s Oncheon-dong branch, Busan National University's overseas volunteer team, as well as many of Busan’s citizens, from young children to senior citizens. The rice collected through this campaign will be given to people in need throughout the community via welfare organizations.
Meanwhile, nearly 29,000 people attended the 2013 Diamond Bridge Walking Festival which was held on Sunday, May 12th..The participants walked 7.3km from Bexco to Pukyong National University on the upper part of the bridge. In addition, there was a performance by rock band 'Cherry Filter", as well as various other campaigns conducted by the Busan CSR information center and the Busan Fund-Raising Organization Council.<Pukyong today>
