Nice attractions in Busan
- IANTHE MARIE PATRICIO BENLIRO(Philippine)

Korea is known as “the land of the morning calm”. It’s been a year since I’ve arrived here from Philippine. I am currently studying for a  master’s degree  in fisheries research and development. In order to achieve this academic goal, I’m taking an international fisheries research and development cooperation course. Since I’ve been here, I’ve experienced many cultural activities and visited a number of attractions.  I have taken pictures of many events happening in this dynamic ocean city.

I still remember the moment I got off from the bus from a year ago. I was worried because I didn’t know how to speak Korean, except  to say  “Annyeonghaseyo?”. I soon figured out that  to worry was useless. Busan is much more comfortable and safer than I had expected.

Sometimes the language barrier made  living in Busan difficult, but regardless of it, I traveled every weekend. Climbing Geumjeong Mountain was tough, and I can say that that experience was one of the biggest challenges in my life in Korean, but as soon as I got to the peak of Godangbong, I felt really refreshed and great. I could see Bexco, Centum city, and Gwangan Bridge clearly from the top of Jangsan Mountain in Haeundae.  Going to those places helped me feel relaxed while experiencing Busan’s dynamic views.

Among the temples in Busan, Beomeosa and Yongkungsa were my favorite. They were built for praying, but those places are also very comfortable for sightseeing.  Both are placed between mountains and not far from a beautiful landscape or the blue-green ocean. On Buddha’s birthday, Samkwangsa was an amazing sight to behold.

Gwangali and Haeundae beaches are famous, must-see  places in Busan. As  summer begins, these beaches attract tourists from all over Korea as well as from other countries. Summer is not the only enjoyable season in Busan, either. There are a variety of activities during the winter with which tourists can be entertained.  The  Diamond Bridge is a symbol of Busan which offers itself as a great background for beautiful picture of couples, friends, families, and tourists.

Before  meeting my friends, who have given new meaning and experiences to the places I have mentioned, these locations were just stops in my travels. The experiences that I have shared with my friends in these areas of dynamic Busan have made the places  much more meaningful to me.<Pukyong today>
