Pukyong National University was selected as a creativity and personality education base center of the southeast area
- Direct creativity and personality education of Busan, Daegu, Ulsan, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Gyeongsangbuk-do's schools
 Pukyong National University (President Kim Yong-Seup) has been selected as the "Creativity and Personality Education Base Centre of the Southeast Area"As it has been selected, PKNU has started to have a pivotal role in creativity and personality education throughout Busan, Daegu, Ulsan, Gyeongsangnam-do, and Gyeongsangbuk-do's primary, middle, and high schools.
The Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity chose Pukyong National University in the southeast area, Dongguk University in the capital area, and Gwangju National University of Education in the southwest area as the base centers to vitalize and reinforce creativity and personality education throughout Korea. As PKNU has been chosen, it will now cooperate with 55 schools that are the creativity and personality education models and 180 class research societies, and improve teachers' core competencies for teaching creativity and personality. The Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity will donate 350 million won to Pukyong National University.
The university will conduct projects for present instructors: Creating creativity and personality education programs and policy research, inventing educational methods, teacher training about class model and consulting and workshops for creativity and personality diffusion. It will also analyze the effects of the education and enhance networks among the base centers.
