PKNU Selected as the Best University of Education Empowerment Business Pukyong National University had been selected as the excellent university three years in a row since the result evaluation started in 2010, and it is selected as the best university in this year. Therefore, the university got support of around 3.4 billon won including 2.8 billion won of working expense and 6.4 hundred million won (21.4 percent of supporting fund) of incentive for the best university, so the university can invest various businesses for developing students’ educational capability. The evaluation is from overall result including program achievement of index for autonomous performance, efficiency of execution of working expense, and business performance report. Pukyong National University attracted attentions because of its three-step educational empowerment program which has basic track for basic educational capability, develop track for global capability of students, and achieve track for enhancing employment ability. In addition, the university is trying to motivate students to make them as global-talented people through internationalization programs such as foreign language classes. Specialization programs of each colleges and contest supporting programs are also making good results. Furthermore, customized employment support programs to help to get the direction of career for students from the lower grades to upper grades also got good comments. Meanwhile, Pukyong National University has got around 27.6 billion won of government support fund including 25.5 billion won of working expense and 2.1 billion won of incentive through six times of selection since the business has been started in 2008.<Pukyong today> |
