PKNU(President Kim Young-seup) signed a contract to transfer technology of ’Stabilization control system of pedestal for surveillance’ with In-sung System (CEO Jin Sang-Hoon, Bu-cheon Kyung-gi) on 14th. The flat fee is 100 million won. This technology, which is owned by Professor Kim Young-bok of PKNU (Mechanical Systems Engineering • 56 • Photo), is a motion control technology that can quickly and precisely control unmanned video surveillance equipment equipped with high-performance cameras based on sensing information. The high-performance unmanned video surveillance equipment used on land, ships, and aircrafts is an equipment that automatically tracks intruders and other objects entering a certain radius. High precision is needed because it must detect moving objects or distant objects. Kim ’s motion control technology can control the motion of the unmanned video surveillance camera to 6 degrees of freedom and has high precision of 0.001 ° (1/1000 °) level. At present, the high performance unmanned video surveillance equipment developed in Korea relies on foreign technologies for most core source technologies such as control systems. In addition, Israeli RP’s ’Line of Sight Pedestal’, which is mainly used for military purposes in Korea, and ’Gimbals’, a FLIR company in the US, cost around 1 billion won. Professor Kim Young-bok said, "We expect to commercialize the core source technology of high-performance unmanned video surveillance equipment at a reasonable price." He continued, "We will continue to cooperate with In-sung system and develop unmanned video surveillance equipment for land surveillance. We will expand our research by developing aviation equipment. " "We have been developing unmanned video surveillance equipment while importing overseas technology and have had various problems such as maintenance difficulties," said CEO of Jin Sang-hoon. "We want to continue to cooperate with PKNU to develop products with domestic technology and to advance into domestic and overseas markets." Since its establishment in 2007, In-sung System Co., Ltd. is a venture company that researches, develops and produces thermal video surveillance equipment, CCTV camera and security equipment. The ceremony for signing the technology transfer contract was held at the meeting room of the 5th floor of the Hanmir Pavilion at 2:00 pm on the 14th. <Pukyong Today> |
