Mext Japan visited PKNU, to benchmark for the case of Industry-University collaboration On the morning of the 24th, Mr. Matsumoto Asato, the second chief of the Foreign Investigation Bureau of the MEXT PKNU's Industry-Academy Collaboration Foundation (Captain Kim Chang-soo) to promote Industry-University innovation campus projects at Yongdang Campus and he heard about cooperation status and looked around the facilities. “While considering of the use of university facilities, we heard about PKNU is a good case of Industry-University collaborations and we decided to visit." he said. This visit was confirmed and promoted by MEXT Japan last year when MOE(Ministry of Education) Korea announced that ‘the annual profits of industrial facilities’. MEXT Japan realized that among using university facilities companies, companies in PKNU are the highest annual profits, so they promoted to benchmark PKNU. PKNU is currently opening its 310,000 yard campus to Busan•Ulsan•Gyeongnam companies among the two campuses and has more than 700 employees. On this day, Park Young-hwan, vice-captain of Industry-Academic Collaboration, URP Business Director Nho Eui-cheol and Seo Yong-Cheol, Link Plus Business Manager attended the meeting to introduce Mr. Matsumoto to PKNU. Mr. Matsumoto said, "Industry-university cooperation in a way that lends state-owned land to industries is very unusual in Japan." He expressed his personal interest in PKNU, which provides campuses to companies. He then visited CNG Optic and CFC Teramate, companies in PKNU and said, "I see the effects of industry-university cooperation by seeing examples of companies that have moved in universities.
