"Grace and virtue received from school and society, I will pay for my life."
Ock Chi-nam, who graduated department of Civil Engineering at Pukyong National University (class of 1966), went to the headquarters of the 3rd floor of the college headquarters on this afternoon and sent 30 million won to Kim Young-seup, and asked him to spend his scholarship for the juniors and the school development. "I was born as a son of a poor farmer in Geoje, I graduated the university in Busan, then I established my own company, and now I am living a life that others envy. I think it was possible because of the virtues that I received from the school and society. "When I was a college student, I was able to study very well and I was able to study with school scholarship all the way through my school because of the home situation.", he said. "I thought I should pay a little afterwards because I got so much help." Mr.Ock, who served the head of the 6th Pukyong National University's graduates' association, has donated 22.4 million won of development funds to his alma mater four times from 2008 to 2012. He also serves as the chairman of the alumni association of the Department of Civil Engineering and is also in charge of helping his juniors. "I hope this development fund will help a little bit of juniors who are not able to study with a part-time job.", he said.
