'Notice' Ultrasonic device to prevent splashing unrine' Startup ideas! The idea that is, “Ultrasonic Urine Splash Prevention Device” proposed by the SLUSH team (CEO Kim Se-jin, 4th grade, Division of Systems Management and Engineering) of Pukyong National University. They received the first prize at the 5th Busan International Entrepreneurship Idea Contest, co-hosted by Pukyong National University Startup Support Group, Busan Economic Promotion Agency, and Korea Southern Power Co.,LTD (KOSPO) hosted by Busan City at Haeundae Arpina Youth Hostel. The idea was recognized as a start-up item that solves problems such as urine splashing out of the toilet and causing a toilet smell when men urinate into the toilet. The SLUSH team realized that urine splatters because of the surface tension of the water, and presented an idea to lower the surface tension of the water by installing an ultrasonic module inside the toilet. Their idea is to attach an infrared sensor and an ultrasonic module to the toilet to prevent urine splashing by lowering the surface tension of the water in the toilet. The device has been shown to limit the amount of urine splattered from 40 cm around the toilet to the inside of the toilet. Kim Se-jin, a representative of the SLUSH team, said, “I want to try to start a business with this item to create a clean toilet culture.”, “The market size is 1.2 trillion won, considering that more than 20 million households are in our country I look forward to it. ” Meanwhile, at the 5th International Entrepreneurship Idea Contest, which was held for two days on September 6-7, 224 people from 62 teams from across the country participated in programs such as startup item contests, startup lectures, and performances. <Pukyong Today> |
