PKNU received the ’Best’ evaluation for 4 consecutive years in the records’ management section Records management evaluation for institutions is carried out annually to strengthen the records’ management in public institutions and establish a system. This year, the evaluation was conducted on 468 institutions, including national and public universities, central administrative agencies, special local administrative agencies, and government-affiliated public institutions, were awarded five grades, ranging from Ga (A) grades to Ma (E) grades. In this evaluation, Pukyong National University recorded an excellent score of 94.5 points in total, receiving a perfect score in 14 of the 17 evaluation items △in the records’ management work base, △records’ management work, △records’ management related services, and business improvement section. Pukyong National University was recognized for its improvement and stabilization in the entire area of the evaluation result indicators and was recognized for its excellent record management level, far exceeding the average record of national and public universities received. In particular, Pukyong National University received high praise for its implementation of the university archive system access and reinforcement project from last year and building up an infrastructure for use of the university’s main archives for research support and use of local community culture. Through this, the performance of reinforcing the safety of records preservation was also recognized, by separating the records’ management server and the service server, and strengthening the function to safely preserve and service important records. As a result of this evaluation, the National Archives of Korea recommends a records’ management merit award to excellent institutions and plans to improve records management by reinforcing support such as guidance and consulting to institutions that are inadequate. <Pukyong Today> |
