PKNU runs the 3rd location of the ’Life Treatment Center of Busan’ The Gwanggaeto Hall at Yongdang Campus of Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-soo) will be operated as a life treatment center in Busan. On the 21st, Pukyong National University announced that it will open the third ’Life Treatment Center of Busan Metropolitan City’ at Gwanggaeto Hall, the student dormitory, and will operate it by mid-February. The Life Treatment Center is a facility to support treatment of asymptomatic and mild patients in preparation for the shortage of sickbeds. As the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the region has increased rapidly recently, the city of Busan requested the Pukyong National University for cooperation in preparation for excessive acceptance of existing life treatment centers. Prior to the opening of this life treatment center, it is known that the city of Busan opened the first life treatment center at the Busan Human Resources Development Institute on 4th, December and the second life treatment center at the BNK Busan Bank Training Center on 14th. With the opening of the Life Treatment Center, an operation team, medical assistance team, facility management team, order maintenance team, and rescue & emergency service team Gwanggaeto Hall will be operated in Gwanggaeto Hall at Pukyong National University. Pukyong National University made active efforts to open and operate the Life Treatment Center, with President Jang Young-soo personally persuading the members. The Gwanggaeto Hall at the University was not operated due to untact classes. President Jang Young-soo said, “Not only our university, but everyone is going through a difficult situation, but all the members of the university came together to fulfill the public responsibilities of the national university and overcome the national crisis.
