Lee Seung-cheol, CEO of Yukook Industry, inaugurated as president of PKNU Alumni Association On the morning of the day, CEO Lee took office as the new president at the inauguration ceremony of the Pukyong National University Alumni Association, held in the presence of President Jang Young-soo and the 12th Alumni Chairman Jeong Yong-pyo in the president's office on the 3rd floor of the Administration building. The new chairman Lee graduated from the Department of Food Science and Technology at Pukyong National University in 1985 and has been serving as a permanent vice chairman of the Pukyong National University Alumni Association since 2018. Since the establishment of Yukook Industry Co.,Ltd in 1998, he has been active in the field of manufacturing and recycling of drum cans, contributing to the activation of eco-friendly industries and local economies. In his inauguration address on the day, the new chairman Lee said, "Pukyong National University has established itself as a national university representing Busan that many students want to enter. As the president of the Alumni Association representing 210,000 Pukyong people, I will do my best for the development of the Alumni Association and for the alma-mater to grow further." He promised to successfully host the 9th Homecoming Day event, form and revitalize regional and branch alumni associations, and support the alma-mater's innovative foundation as a key project of this year's general alumni association. Pukyong National University Alumni Association, meanwhile, donated a total of 20 million won, including 10 million won donated by the alumni association and 10 million won donated by former chairman Jeong Yong-pyo, as a development fund for Pukyong National University. <Pukyong Today> |
