이재명 대통령 ‘부산의 마음을 듣다’, 국립부경대서 열려

이재명 대통령의 대국민 소통 간담회 행사 ‘부산의 마음을 듣다’가 7월 25일 오후 부경컨벤션홀에서 열렸다.
이 대통령이 지역에서 타운홀 미팅 방식으로 연 행사는 광주, 대전에 이어 부산이 세 번째다.
이번 행사는 해양수산부 이전과 지역 균형 발전을 중심 내용으로 논의함에 따라, 부산의 대표 국립대학이자 해양과 수산 분야의 특성화 역량을 가진 국립부경대가 행사 장소로 낙점됐다.
이 행사에는 이 대통령과 전재수 해양수산부 장관, 김경수 지방시대위원장, 하준경 경제성장수석, 하정우 AI미래기획수석, 박형준 부산시장을 비롯해 부산 시민 200여 명이 참석했다.
이날 이 대통령은 해양수산부를 비롯해 산하기관과 관련 기업, 공공기업, 출연기관 등의 신속 이전, 가덕 신공항 정상 진행 등을 강조했다. 이어 국립부경대 졸업생 등 행사에 참석한 부산 시민들은 발언권을 얻어 이 대통령에서 다양한 제안과 의견을 전했다.
특히, 이날 이 대통령은 행사에 앞서 배상훈 총장과 함께 부경컨벤션홀 인근의 ‘고 이동진 대위* 추모비’를 찾아 헌화하고 묵념하기도 했다.
한편, 국립부경대는 대통령 방문 행사가 캠퍼스에서 진행됨에 따라 총무과, 시설과 등 주요 대응 부서들을 중심으로 행사 준비와 운영 등에 적극 협조하며 행사가 안전하고 차질 없이 진행되도록 힘썼다.
* 국립부경대학교 전신 부산수산대학교 수산경영학과 82학번으로 육군 ROTC 24기 소위로 임관했다. 1988년 5월 4일, 그는 15사단 38연대 중위였다. 중대장으로서 강원도 최전방 부대 철책 안에서 지뢰매설 작업을 하다, 급작스럽게 돌풍이 불어 예기치 않은 지뢰 폭발사고가 일어나기 직전 그는 자신의 몸을 서슴없이 던져 폭발하는 지뢰를 자신의 몸으로 막고 부하 14명을 구하고 순직했다.

President Lee Jae-myung’s “Listening to the Heart of Busan” Held at Pukyong National University

The national townhall meeting “Listening to the Heart of Busan,” hosted by President Lee Jae-myung, was held on the afternoon of July 25 at the Pukyong Convention Hall.
This was the President’s third regional townhall event, following previous sessions in Gwangju and Daejeon.
Given that the event focused on the relocation of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the balanced regional development of the country, Pukyong National University―Busan’s flagship national university with specialized strengths in the fields of ocean and fisheries―was selected as the venue.
The event was attended by President Lee Jae-myung; Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Jeon Jae-soo; Chairman of the Presidential Committee for Balanced National Development Kim Kyung-soo; Senior Secretary for Economic Growth Ha Joon-kyung; Senior Secretary for AI and Future Strategy Ha Jung-woo; Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon; and approximately 200 Busan citizens.
During the session, President Lee emphasized the importance of promptly relocating the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries along with its affiliated organizations, relevant enterprises, public institutions, and research agencies. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the successful construction of the new Gadeok International Airport. Following his remarks, citizens of Busan, including alumni of Pukyong National University, were given the opportunity to voice their suggestions and share their opinions directly with the President.
Prior to the event, President Lee visited the memorial for the late Captain Lee Dong-jin* near the Pukyong Convention Hall, accompanied by President Bae Sang-hoon of Pukyong National University. There, he laid a wreath and observed a moment of silence in tribute.
Meanwhile, with the presidential visit taking place on campus, Pukyong National University mobilized key administrative departments―such as the General Affairs and Facilities Divisions―to actively support the preparation and smooth operation of the event. Their coordinated efforts ensured the event was conducted safely and without disruption. <Pukyong Today>
* The late Captain Lee Dong-jin, a 1982 graduate of the Department of Fisheries Business Administration at Pukyong National University’s predecessor, the National Fisheries University of Busan, was commissioned as a second lieutenant through the 24th class of the Army ROTC. On May 4, 1988, while serving as a first lieutenant with the 38th Regiment of the 15th Division, he led a landmine installation operation along the front-line fence in Gangwon-do. When a sudden gust of wind triggered an unexpected mine explosion, he selflessly threw himself onto the detonating device to shield his subordinates, ultimately saving 14 soldiers at the cost of his own life.
