조선일보와 문화일보가 각각 이 기사를 비중 있게 전국 뉴스로 내보내 많은 독자들의 관심도 뜨거웠다.

서울의 한 동문은 “그 기사를 보고 매우 뿌듯했다. 이렇게 모교가 날로 발전하고 있는 모습을 보여서 자랑스럽다.”고 부경투데이 편집진에 말했다.

이 기사를 먼저 쓴 곳은 문화일보였다.
