부경대학교가 학생 제안 강의를 실제로 개설하는 등 교육과정에 편성에 학생 참여를 확대하고 나서 주목받고 있다. 부경대 미래교육혁신본부(본부장 김동준)는 올해 1학기 교양교육과정에 학생들이 직접 제안한 ‘세상을 만든 건축 이야기’, ‘생명공학 발전, 도태되는 윤리’ 등 2개 교과목을 정식으로 편성했다. 이 교과목들은 부경대가 지난해 10월부터 12월까지 실시한 ‘내가 원하는 융복합 교양교과목 공모전’ 수상작이다. 학생들의 융복합 창의성 강화를 극대화하기 위해 학생들이 원하는 교과목을 직접 개발해 제안하는 공모전을 열고, 우수한 평가를 받은 교과목을 실제로 개설한 것. 수상 학생들은 제안서에서 교과목 제목과 필요성을 제시하는 데 그치지 않고, 강의내용은 물론 교수학습 방법부터 평가방법, 기대효과, 참고문헌, 시험예시까지 밝혀 정식 교양교과목으로 개설하는 데 손색없다는 평가를 받았다. ‘세상을 만든 건축 이야기’는 해양수산경영학과 박민영(2학년)을 비롯해 융합디스플레이공학과, 해양수산경영학과, 생태공학과 등 다양한 전공의 학생 5명이 제안한 교과목이다. 건축의 의미를 권력‧종교‧예술‧안전‧과학 등과 연계해 ‘건축의 인문학’을 학습하자는 것이다. ‘생명공학 발전, 도태되는 윤리’는 법학과 이욱재(3학년) 등 같은 학과 학생 4명이 제안했다. 유전자 가위 등 최신 과학기술과 관련된 올바른 윤리의식을 습득하자는 것. 부경대 김동준 미래교육혁신본부장은 “학생들이 제안한 교육과정이 실제로 개설되면 제안 학생들은 물론, 다른 학생들도 열의를 갖고 강의에 참여하는데 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.”고 말했다. 한편 부경대는 교양교육과정 최소 이수학점을 기존 30학점에서 올해 40학점으로 상향 조정하고, 교양교육과정 편성을 핵심‧균형‧확대 교양으로 개편하는 등 교양교육을 강화하고 있다. <부경투데이> Pukyong National University is attracting attention as it expands student participation in curriculum formation, such as actually opening lectures proposed by students. 'The Story of Architecture that Created the World' is a course proposed by five students from various departments, including Fisheries Management, Park Min-young (2nd grade), Department of Display engineering, Fisheries Management, and Ecological Engineering. It is to learn the 'humanities of architecture' by connecting the meaning of architecture to power, religion, art, safety, and science. The development of biotechnology and the ethics of elimination were proposed by four students from the department of Law including Lee Wook-jae (3rd grade).
