한줌씩 쌀을 모아 어려운 이웃들에게 기부한다는 기특한 대학생들에게 식당 사장들은 쌀 포대를 얹어주는 훈훈한 인심으로 호응해 눈길을 끈다. 최근 ‘사랑의 쌀 나눔행사’를 펼친 부경대학교 대외홍보대사 ‘블루’(대표 오창석) 소속 학생 24명과 이 대학 주변 식당 등 가게 사장들의 이야기다. 이들은 지난달 30일부터 이달 1일까지 작은 쌀 항아리를 들고 학교 주변 식당 등 가게 60여 곳을 돌며 쌀을 기부 받았다. 그렇게 모인 쌀이 90 kg을 넘었다. ‘블루’ 대표 오창석 학생(관광경영학과 3학년)은 “쌀 한 바가지만 기부해달라는 부탁에 가게 사장님들은 한 번 주면 정 없다며 두 세 바가지씩 쌀을 퍼 주셨다. 한 가게 사장님은 아예 포대 째 내어 주시기도 했다.”고 말했다. 이 행사는 ‘블루’ 학생들이 부경대 대학로에 위치한 식당 등 가게들로부터 한줌씩의 쌀을 기부 받아 주변의 어려운 이웃들에게 기부하기 위해 지난 2015년부터 시작됐다. 해마다 설 명절을 전후해 열리는 이 행사의 누적 참가 가게는 460여 곳에 이른다. 쌀을 기부한 가게에는 ‘부경대와 함께 하는 집’ 스티커를 붙여 준다. 경제가 어려워졌다고 하지만 가게 사장들의 인심은 더 후해졌다. 지난해 모인 50 kg보다 40 kg이 더 모였다. 가게 사장들은 “이웃을 돕겠다며 해마다 잊지 않고 찾아오는 학생들이 정말 대견하다”고 입을 모은다. 부경대 ‘블루’ 학생들은 이렇게 모인 쌀을 어려운 이웃을 위해 써 달라며 지난 5일 사회복지단체인 전국천사무료급식소 부산본부(부산 초읍동)를 찾아 기부했다. <부경투데이> For the good heart university students who collected a handful of rice and donated it to their difficult neighbors, the restaurant owners are eye-catching with the warm heart of rice bags. It is the story of 24 students from Pukyong National University’s public relations ambassador, Blue (Representative Oh Chang-seok), who recently held a “rice sharing event of love,” and the owners of restaurants around the university. They donated rice from around 60 shops and restaurants around the school with small rice jars last month from 30th to 1st of this month. The rice thus gathered exceeded 90 kg. Oh Chang-seok, a representative of ‘Blue’ (3rd grade of Tourism Management) said, “As we asked the restaurant owners to donate a bag of rice, the owners gave us two or three bowls of rice. The owner of the store even gave me a bag of rice, saying "if a person gives only one bowl of rice, that means the person has no consideration.” The event began in 2015 to support ’Blue’ students to donate a handful of rice from stores and restaurants in the campus town of Pukyong National University to donate to difficult neighbors. There are more than 460 participated shops in the event, held annually before and after the New Year holidays. Label the “House with Pukyong National University” sticker on the donated shop. The economy has been difficult, but the shop owners have been more generous. 40kg more than 50kg collected last year. The shop owners say, “We are really proud of the students who come every year to help our neighbors.” Pukyong National University’s ’Blue’ students donated to the Busan headquarters of (a social welfare organization, the National soup kitchen of Angel (Busan Choeup-dong) for free to help the neighbors in need of rice. <Pukyong Today> |
