부경대학교(총장 김영섭)는 5월 14일 오후 미래관 2층 소민홀에서 2020학년도 PKNU 사회공헌봉사단 발대식을 개최했다. 이날 봉사단 대표 김진형 학생(안전공학과 3학년) 등 봉사단원 50명이 임명장을 받고 본격적인 활동에 들어갔다. 이 봉사단은 부경대가 기존 에코봉사단, 해외봉사단 등을 통합해 지난 2018년부터 운영하고 있는 학생 봉사단체다. 농‧어촌 봉사활동 등 계절별로 진행되는 각종 봉사행사와 함께 매달 정기적으로 봉사활동을 펼치며 이웃을 돕고 사회에 공헌하는 것이 이들의 역할이다. 이들은 대학 인근 주거 취약지역 가구를 찾아 집을 고쳐주는 사랑의 집수리 봉사활동을 비롯해 일손이 부족한 농촌과 어촌 지역을 찾아 일손 돕기 봉사활동을 펼친다. 방학에는 해외의 낙후 지역을 찾아 한국어 교육 등을 지원하는 해외봉사를 하고, 겨울에는 난방 취약 가구들에게 연탄을 배달하는 연탄나눔 봉사활동도 진행한다. 봉사단은 행사 형식의 봉사활동은 물론 조별로 연간 봉사활동 계획을 세우고 재능기부, 환경정화 등 자체 봉사활동도 정기적으로 추진할 계획이다. 부경대 김영섭 총장은 “학생들이 꾸준한 봉사활동을 통해 서로 협력하며 이해하고, 이웃과 더불어 살아가는 의미를 찾는 계기가 되기 바란다.”라고 말했다. <부경투데이> Pukyong National University (President Kim Young-seup) held the opening ceremony of the 2020 PKNU Social Contribution Volunteer Corps at Somin Hall on the 2nd floor of the Mirae building on the afternoon of May 14th. On the day, 50 volunteers including Kim Jin-hyeong, the representative of the Volunteer Corps (3rd grade, Dept of safety engineering), received a letter of appointment and had officially started volunteering activities. The Volunteer Corps is a student volunteer organization that has been operated by Pukyong National University since 2018 by integrating existing Eco Volunteer Corps and Global volunteer Corps. Their role is to help their neighbors and contribute to society through regular volunteer activities every month, along with various seasonal events such as volunteer activities in rural and fishing villages. They provide volunteer services including ’Love of House Repairing’ to the vulnerable groups who lives in residential areas located near the university and provide volunteer services to help rural communities and fishing villages where there is understaffed. During vacations, they visit overseas underdeveloped areas to provide volunteer services such as supporting Korean language education, etc., and they also provide briquette sharing voluntary work that deliver briquettes to vulnerable families in the winter. The Volunteer Corps plans to set up an annual volunteering plan by group as well as an event-type volunteering work, and regularly promote its own volunteering works such as talent donation and environmental clean-up. The University President Kim Young-seup of Pukyong National University said, "I hope this will be an opportunity for students to cooperate and understand each other through steady volunteer work and find the meaning of living with their neighbors." <Pukyong Today> |
