부경대학교(총장 장영수)가 교수 두 명 이상 진행하는 강의, 온라인학습 후 현장토론하는 강의 등 ‘혁신수업’을 제도화하기로 해 눈길을 끈다. 교수가 설명하고 학생들은 필기하는 전통적인 대학 강의 방식을 혁신하고 나선 것. 부경대는 3월부터 시작하는 2021학년도 1학기 강의의 3분의 1을 ‘혁신수업’ 방식으로 운영한다고 1월 26일 밝혔다. ‘혁신수업’이란 학습자가 자신의 학습을 주도하고, 교수자는 이 과정을 돕는 역할을 하며 다양한 방식으로 학습 효과를 높이는 수업방법이다. 최근 급격히 변화하는 교육 패러다임에 대응하고 교육경쟁력을 강화하기 위해 적극 도입에 나선 것이다. 부경대가 이번 1학기에 개설하는 ‘혁신수업’은 전공 705개, 교양 196개 등 전체 2,752개의 교과목 가운데 3분의 1에 해당하는 901개에 이른다. 부경대는 지난해 코로나19 확산으로 기존 대면 수업을 온라인 등 비대면으로 방식만 바꿔 진행했던 것과는 달리, 올해는 강의 설계에서부터 교수진, 운영 등 교과목의 기반부터 확 바꿨다. 두 명 이상의 교수가 수업을 진행하는 ‘코티칭 및 팀티칭’ 방식을 비롯, 온라인 강의 영상을 미리 학습한 뒤 수업시간에는 토의와 토론 등을 진행하는 ‘플립러닝’, 온라인과 오프라인 수업을 병행하는 ‘블렌디드러닝’ 등 혁신적인 수업방식이 적용된다. 이와 함께 제시된 문제를 해결하는 과정을 통해 지식을 능동적으로 구성하는 ‘문제중심학습’, 개인 선행학습을 바탕으로 팀별 문제해결 수업을 진행하는 ‘팀기반학습’ 등 방안도 도입된다. ‘혁신수업’ 교과목의 성적평가는 절대평가를 원칙으로 했다. 이를 위해 부경대 학사관리과는 ‘혁신수업 운영지침’을 제정하는 한편, 미래교육혁신본부는 혁신수업 교과목을 개설하는 교수에게 관련 교육을 제공하고, 관련 분야 연구진을 꾸려 ‘혁신교수법 가이드북’을 발간 배포했다. 장영수 부경대 총장은 “혁신수업 교과목 운영을 위해 기획, 연구, 교재 등 운영을 지원하는 것은 물론, 강의평가를 통해 지속 여부를 결정해 운영성과를 높여나갈 계획이다. 대학 강의가 학생 중심의 창의적이고 융합적인 혁신수업이 될 수 있도록 역량을 모으겠다.”고 말했다. <부경투데이> University lecture that only professors explain? Additionally, learning method such as ‘problem-based learning,’ in which students actively construct knowledge through the process of solving the proposed problem, and ‘team-based learning,’ in which team-based problem-solving classes are conducted based on individual prior learning, are also introduced. The achievement's evaluation of the 'Innovative lectures' will be based on absolute scale. To that end, the Division of Academic Affairs at Pukyong National University established the 'Operation Guideline for Innovative Lectures', while the Executive Office of Future-Ready Education has provided related education to professors who open innovative courses and published and distributed the 'Innovative Teaching Method Guidebook' by organizing researchers in related fields. Jang Young-soo, the President of Pukyong National University, said, "For the management of innovative courses, we plan to increase operational performance by not only supporting the operation of planning, research, and necessary textbooks, but also by deciding whether to continue lectures through lecture evaluation.
