국립부경대, 부산 이전 ‘아기유니콘’ 에이디수산과 스마트 양식 산학협력 시동
- 12일 스마트양식 R&D 산학협력 협약

국립부경대학교(총장 배상훈)와 ㈜에이디수산(대표이사 이두현)이 8월 12일 스마트 양식 분야 기술개발과 공동연구 등 산학협력을 위한 협약을 체결했다.
수산과학·해양산업 분야를 선도하는 국립부경대와 최근 부산으로 이전한 친환경 스마트 새우 양식 기업인 ㈜에이디수산이 손잡으면서 지역 수산양식 분야 미래 산업을 이끌 것으로 기대된다.
㈜에이디수산은 국내 양식업계 최초로 스마트 아쿠아팜을 플랜트 수출하는 기업으로 주목받으며 지난 5월에는 수산 분야에서 보기 드물게 중소벤처기업부로부터 ‘아기유니콘(아기거대신생기업)’으로 선정된 바 있다.
이어 전문 연구 인력 확보를 위해 최근 서울에서 부산으로 본사를 이전하면서, 국립부경대와 연구개발(R&D) 및 전문인력 양성 등을 본격화하고 나섰다.
양 기관은 이번 협약으로 △스마트 양식 기술개발 및 실증연구의 공동 수행 △산학연계형 현장실습 및 인턴십 프로그램 운영 △스마트 수산 분야 정부 R&D 공동 기획 및 과제 수행 △에이디수산 시설을 활용한 학부·대학원생 연구활동 지원 등에 협력할 계획이다.
국립부경대는 양식시스템연구실, 스마트 양식 클러스터, 스마트 양식 빅데이터센터 등을 갖추고, 해양수산부의 국책사업으로 지속 가능한 미래 성장 산업으로 꼽히는 ‘블루푸드’ 분야의 대형 국책사업을 수행 중인 만큼, ㈜에이디수산과의 산학협력 시너지가 극대화할 것으로 본다.
특히 해양수산부의 부산 이전을 앞두고 양 기관은 전문성을 적극 활용해 부산 지역사회 발전을 위한 지·산·학·연 협력체계 구축 등 각종 협력 사업에도 힘쓰기로 했다. <부경투데이>
Pukyong National University Launches Industry-Academic Collaboration in Smart Aquaculture with ‘Baby Unicorn’ AD Fisheries Relocated to Busan
- R&D Partnership Agreement Signed on August 12 for Smart Aquaculture
Pukyong National University (President Bae Sang-hoon) signed an industry-academic cooperation agreement on August 12 with AD Fisheries Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Doo-hyun) to promote joint research and technology development in the field of smart aquaculture.
With Pukyong National University, a leader in fisheries science and marine industries, joining hands with AD Fisheries Co., Ltd.―an eco-friendly smart shrimp aquaculture company that recently relocated to Busan―the partnership is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing the future of the local aquaculture industry.
AD Fisheries Co., Ltd. has drawn attention as the first company in Korea’s aquaculture industry to export smart aquafarm plants. In May, the company was selected as a “Baby Unicorn” (early-stage high-potential startup) by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups ― a rare achievement in the fisheries sector.
To secure professional research talent, AD Fisheries recently relocated its headquarters from Seoul to Busan. With this move, the company is accelerating R&D and talent development efforts in partnership with Pukyong National University.
The two institutions plan to collaborate on the following through this agreement: △ Joint development and demonstration research of smart aquaculture technologies △ Operation of field training and internship programs linked to academia and industry △ Joint planning and execution of government R&D projects in the smart fisheries sector △ Support for undergraduate and graduate student research activities using AD Fisheries’ facilities.
Pukyong National University expects to maximize synergy through this industry-academia collaboration with AD Fisheries, as it currently operates an Aquaculture Systems Lab, a Smart Aquaculture Cluster, and a Smart Aquaculture Big Data Center. PKNU is also carrying out large-scale national R&D projects in the ‘blue food’ sector―recognized as a sustainable future growth industry―under the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.
In particular, with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries soon relocating to Busan, the two institutions have agreed to actively leverage their expertise and collaborate on various initiatives, including building a cooperative network among government, industry, academia, and research institutions to contribute to the development of the local Busan community. <Pukyong Today>
