이성근 이샘병원 병원장, 국립부경대에 1억 원 기부
- 대학 80주년 응원 … 지역대학 발전 및 전문 의료인 양성 지원

이성근 이샘병원 병원장이 국립부경대학교(총장 배상훈)에 1억 원을 기부했다.
이성근 병원장은 7월 6일 오후 국립부경대 대학본부 접견실에서 열린 발전기금 전달식에서 배상훈 총장에게 1억 원을 전달했다.
이성근 병원장은 “지역과 함께하며 지역 발전과 우수 인재 양성에 힘써 온 국립부경대의 80주년을 응원하며, 앞으로도 부산과 국가 발전의 든든한 버팀목이 되어주기를 바란다”고 밝혔다.
국립부경대 동문(경영학과 석사 졸업)이기도 한 이성근 병원장은 일자리창출 유공 국무총리 표창, 부산시 모범선행시민상 부산시장 표창, 안전정책 혁신 공로 행정안정부장관 표창에 이어 현재 부산 아너소사이어티 클럽 회장을 맡아 활약하는 등 지역사회 발전을 위해 활발한 활동을 펼치고 있다.
이샘병원과 국립부경대는 지난 5월 지역사회 발전과 미래인재 양성을 위한 업무협약을 체결한 바 있다. 이후 두 기관은 건강검진 특화 의료기관과 국립대학의 전문성을 바탕으로 산학협력 네트워크 구축, 종합검진 프로그램 운영, 외국인 유학생 건강검진 등 프로그램 운영 등에 협력해 왔다.
이성근 병원장은 “의료와 교육은 지역 발전을 위한 인프라 중에서도 가장 핵심”이라며, “전문 의료인 양성과 우리 지역 발전을 위해 앞으로도 힘써주시기를 바란다”고 밝혔다.
국립부경대는 올해 개교 80주년을 맞아 대학 발전을 위한 응원 기부 릴레이를 이어가고 있으며, 이성근 병원장은 45번째 기부자로 참여했다. 국립부경대는 이 발전기금을 연구중심대학, AX혁신대학, 글로벌혁신대학 등 대학 발전을 위한 미래 비전 실현에 활용할 계획이다. <부경투데이>

― Supporting the University’s 80th Anniversary and the Advancement of Regional Universities and Professional Medical Education
Sung-Geun Lee, Director of Lee Saem Hospital, donated KRW 100 million to Pukyong National University (President Sang-Hoon Bae).
Sung-Geun Lee presented the donation to President Bae at a university development fund donation ceremony held in the reception room of Pukyong National University’s administration building on the afternoon of July 6.
Sung-Geun Lee said, “I would like to congratulate Pukyong National University on its 80th anniversary and recognize its longstanding commitment to advancing the local community and nurturing outstanding talent. I hope the university will continue to serve as a strong pillar supporting the development of Busan and the nation.”
Sung-Geun Lee, who is also an alumnus of Pukyong National University with a master’s degree in business administration, has been actively contributing to the development of the local community. His recognition includes a Prime Minister’s Commendation for Contributions to Job Creation, a Busan Mayor’s Commendation as an Exemplary Citizen for Good Deeds, and a Minister of the Interior and Safety Commendation for Contributions to Innovation in Safety Policy. He currently serves as president of the Busan Honor Society Club.
Lee Saem Hospital and Pukyong National University signed a memorandum of understanding in May to promote regional development and nurture future talent. Since then, the two institutions have drawn on the expertise of a medical institution specializing in health screenings and a national university to cooperate in building an industry-academia collaboration network and operating programs such as comprehensive health screenings and medical examinations for international students.
Sung-Geun Lee said, “Healthcare and education are among the most essential forms of infrastructure for regional development. I hope Pukyong National University will continue its efforts to nurture professional medical personnel and contribute to the advancement of our local community.”
Marking its 80th anniversary this year, Pukyong National University is continuing a relay of supportive donations for the university’s development, with Sung-Geun Lee participating as the 45th donor. The university plans to use the fund to realize its future vision for institutional advancement, including becoming a research-oriented university, an AI transformation (AX) innovation university, and a global innovation university.
