부경대학교가 발간한 연구총서 2종이 한국출판문화산업진흥원의 ‘2019 세종도서’로 선정됐다. 부경대는 글로벌지역학연구소(소장 정해조)와 해양인문학연구소(소장 조세현)가 발간한 『해양인문학이란 무엇인가』, 『수중고고학의 역사』 등 2종의 연구총서가 2019 세종도서 학술부문에 선정됐다. 세종도서란 한국출판문화산업진흥원이 학술 분야 발전과 국가 지식기반사회 조성을 위해 해마다 10개 부문에서 우수한 도서를 선정하는 사업이다. 올해 세종도서 학술부문에는 총 400종이 우수도서로 선정됐다. 『해양인문학이란 무엇인가』는 해양문학, 해양역사, 해양문화와 산업, 동북아의 해양역사 등 분야별로 해양인문학의 방향성을 정립하고 세부 분야를 설정하기 위한 작업의 결과물이다. 이 책은 육지 중심의 사유에서 바다 중심의 사유로의 전환과 바다에서 건져 올리는 새로운 인문적 사유의 가능성을 각 분야별로 점검한다. 『수중고고학의 역사』는 고 김도현 박사의 역작으로 한국에서는 생소한 분야인 ‘수중고고학’을 한국과 해외의 풍부한 자료와 발굴 사례를 통해 소개한다. 저자는 바다에서 ‘역사’와 ‘문화’를 건져 올린다는 것의 의미를 설명하고, 3면이 바다로 둘러싸여 있는 해양국가가 지녀야 하는 기본적인 인문학적·자연과학적·공학적 영역에서의 학제 간 연구의 중요성을 강조한다. 이 연구총서들은 부경대 글로벌지역학연구소와 해양인문학연구소가 대학인문역량강화사업의 일환으로 발간한 것이다. 이 연구소들은 해양인문학에 대해 탐구하며 해양문학, 해양역사, 해양문화와 해양산업 등 해양인문학 각 분야의 연구총서를 출간해 오고 있다. 한편 세종도서로 선정된 도서는 한국출판문화산업진흥원의 지원을 통해 공공도서관 등에 보급될 예정이다. <부경투데이> Two research papers published by Pukyong National University were selected as the '2019 Sejong Books' of the Publication Industry Promotion Agency of Korea (KPIPA). Pukyong National University has selected two research papers for the Academic Category of Sejong Books 2019, 『What is Marine Humanities』 and 『History of Underwater Archeology』 published by Institute of Global Area and Studies (Jeong Hae-jo, Chief director) and the Institute of Marine and Humanities (Jo Se-hyun, Chief director) Sejong Books is a project that the Publication Industry Promotion Agency of Korea selects excellent books in 10 categories every year to develop academic fields and create a national knowledge-based society. In this year's Sejong Books Academic Division, a total of 400 books were selected as excellent books. 『What is Marine Humanities』 is the result of the work to establish the direction of marine humanities and to set specific fields by maritime literature, maritime history, marine culture and industry, and maritime history in Northeast Asia. This book examines each field's potential for the transition from land-based perception to sea-based perception and the possibility of new human thinking from the sea. The History of Underwater Archeology is the work of Dr. Kim Do-hyeon, who introduces the Underwater Archeology, an area that is unfamiliar in Korea, through a wealth of data and discoveries in Korea and abroad. The author explains the implications of retrieving 'history' and 'culture' from the sea, and emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary research in the basic humanities · natural sciences · engineering domains of a maritime nation surrounded by three sides. These research papers were published by Pukyong National University as a part of the CORE project to strengthening university humanities capacity. The Institutes have explored marine humanities and have published research series in marine humanities such as marine literature, maritime history, marine culture and marine industry. Meanwhile, the books selected as Sejong books will be distributed to public libraries with the support of Publication Industry Promotion Agency of Korea. <Pukyong Today> |
